Jobbeschreibung | At the DKTK partner site in Munich, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Frederick Klauschen at the Institute of Pathology of Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU Munich), we are seeking to appoint a creative and highly collaborative early career scientist to lead a junior group at the intersection of immunology, pathology and oncology with a methodological focus on multimodal spatial imaging and omics as well as computational technologies. The junior group will be embedded in the Institute of Pathology, LMU Munich, and work in close collaboration with the Department of Medicine III (Oncology and Hematology) of LMU hospital and further departments focusing on cancer. The scientific interest of the junior group leader should in general match with the scientific profile of the DKTK partner site Munich (https://dktk.dkfz.de/en/sites/munich) and the LMU Munich. Competitive applicants are expected to establish innovative analytical and computational pipelines for multimodal spatial imaging and omics and apply them to clinically relevant questions in cancer research with existing patient cohorts and in prospective settings. The DKTK partner site Munich and the DKFZ provide access to first class state-of-the-art core facilities in Munich and Heidelberg. Translational research activities are supported by access to large patient cohorts, high quality tumor tissue banks and excellent clinical research facilities. The junior group leader will be employed via the DKFZ in Heidelberg. The junior group will be physically established at LMU Munich, Institute of Pathology (Campus City Centre). |
